The harvest and season reports contain information that was imported by manual or automatic means through the FieldView Drive. The information is available as data layers and in a report format. Information that can be collected are soil data, spray data, planting data, harvest data, seed density, seed type and many more. The more data and information you put into FieldView, the more you get out in terms of data analysis and visualisation for easier decision making in the future.

One cannot emphasise enough how important the yield analysis tool especially is in FieldView, as this tool analysis your inputs and gives you a clear visualisation of how your crops performed at the end of the season.  

4. Farmers can capture harvesting data with FieldView Drive. How does this process work? 

The FieldView Plus platform allows the grower to stream data from the machine to his Climate account where the data is stored and analysed for his unique access. The FieldView Drive is linked to the farmer’s iPad through Bluetooth inside the machine’s cab. The iPad serves as the connection to Climate Cloud and as an interface for the operator in the cab. Sometimes the connection is an issue in arid areas and we suggest that growers use an iPad that has enough memory to collect and store the data if the connection is an issue. The data collected and stored on the iPad will upload to the growers' Climate Cloud account as soon as the connections like Wifi or 3G is available again. We suggest iPad devices that can accommodate both WiFi and a sim card.

Climate FieldView is a software platform that makes collecting and analysing data easy. It also enables the grower to see what happened during his farming operation by visualising his input performance and facilitating his plan for the next season. 6. How many seasons’ historic data can be compared with one another on the FieldView app? 

FieldView offers the grower the opportunity to seed four years of historic data and satellite imagery that makes it ideal to compare fields from the current season with historic seasons. The grower can use the split-screen functionality to view the fields in parallel comparison.
